We introduced in-node generation history to make creative exploration visible instead of disposable. Every generation you run inside a node is now preserved, allowing you to step back through past outputs without moving around the canvas or breaking your flow. Your process stays attached to the place where the decision was made. Flip through all the generations quickly to see which one you like most.
We released this because creative work rarely moves in a straight line. People explore, backtrack, compare, and often want to recover something they didn't realize mattered at the time. Losing that context creates friction and discourages experimentation.
Our hope is that this feature makes the canvas feel more forgiving and more alive. You can try things freely, knowing your thinking is captured. The result is less anxiety around "getting it right" and more confidence to explore ideas deeply before committing.
As a bonus, hit 'F' to expand to a new full-screen view that shows you generations either one at a time, or in a grid. Individual generations now have metadata and include information about models, file size, resolution, credit cost, and more.
