"Zinkraft is my study in controlled contradiction. I designed it to blend traditionally opposing characteristics — upright and italic, serif and sans, structure and gesture. It embodies what I consider a syncretic approach to type.
This mindset shapes the typeface's defining traits, making it feel at home across wildly different worlds — from fashion campaigns to sci-fi titles, sports gear, art zines, and video games.
The letterforms themselves are where the tension lives — a compelling mix of geometric rigidity and humanist flow; rooted and dynamic, playful yet elegant. It's all about contradictions that harmoniously coexist.
The full family spans 20 styles across five weights and four optical sizes, plus a variable font version for flexible, fine-tuned control."

Roch Modrzejewski is a type designer and multidisciplinary artist based in the beautiful city of Krakow. He completed his artistic education in Poland, Germany, and Switzerland. From a young age, he was involved in various artistic disciplines — from music and photography to painting and graphic design.
Founder of ROHH Type Foundry and creator of over 45 expansive type families, his main goal in typography is to craft advanced font families rich in OpenType features, while also exploring the potential of the variable font format. | |
